Varieties represented by UAB Agrokoncernas are carefully selected according to time-tested principles.

Firstly, varieties must demonstrate excellent yield and qualitative results at the state Lithuanian variety trial stations and the Innovation and Research Center AgroITC. Then plant varieties are tested in the production fields of Agrokoncernas company group farms. Only after this long test procedure the selected plant varieties reach the fields of Lithuanian farmers. Seeds are prepared in an own seed preparation factory in Radviliškis district. The seed preparation factory, which has been operating for more than a decade, after full construction renovation is currently one of the most modern and largest seed facilities in the country. The available options of infrastructure ensure not only the quality of the prepared seed, but also the required quantitative flow. Agrokoncernas cooperates with those seed companies that offer promising varieties of cereals, rape, corn, perennial grasses, sugar beets suitable for Lithuanian climate conditions. Formation of abundant and high-quality yields, resistance to diseases and, most importantly, very good winter hardiness are the following requirements and standards for the selected varieties.
